Privacy Policy

KEPLOOM TECH - FZCO, based in Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Keploom”, “we”, “our” or “us”), is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. This notice explains how we handle information when you visit keploom.com (the “Site”) or contact us about our services by email or WhatsApp.

1. Information We Collect

When you contact us by email or WhatsApp, including after following an advertisement on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the contact and project information you choose to share.

This may include your name, email address, phone number, business details, project requirements, messages and attachments, and profile information made available through the messaging service. Website tracking is described separately in Section 2.

2. Cookies and the Meta Pixel

The Site uses two kinds of storage on your device. Strictly necessary storage makes the Site work and remembers the cookie choice you make — we cannot switch that off. Marketing storage covers the Meta Pixel, and it is off until you accept it.

When you first visit, we show a cookie notice with three options: Accept optional cookies, Reject optional cookies, and Cookie settings. Nothing is pre-selected. If you make no choice, the Meta Pixel remains off: until you accept, the Site loads no Meta script, sends no request to Meta, and sets no marketing cookie.

Your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage under the key keploom.consent. It records your marketing-cookie choice, the time of your decision and the consent-record version. It does not contain a unique visitor identifier, and the Site does not send this consent record to us or Meta. We keep it for six months and then ask you again, whether you accepted or refused.

If you accept, we load the Meta Pixel, a measurement and advertising tool provided by Meta. From that point it:

• Records a PageView event when you open a page and when you move to another page on the Site;
• Records a Contact event when you click one of our “Chat on WhatsApp” buttons. This records only that a click happened. It is not a record that you sent us a message, that a conversation took place, or that you became a customer, and it does not give Meta the contents of your WhatsApp conversation;
• Sends Meta the usual information carried by a web request, including your IP address, the page address you are on, the page that referred you, and your browser and device information;
• Stores a cookie named _fbp under the keploom.com domain, lasting about 90 days, used to distinguish browsers;
• Stores two values in your browser's local storage, lastExternalReferrer and lastExternalReferrerTime, recording where you arrived from.

Meta uses this information to measure our advertising and, in line with its own policies, for its wider advertising purposes. What Meta does with it is governed by Meta's privacy policy, not by this one.

Changing your mind. A Cookie settings button sits at the bottom of every page. You can open it at any time to accept or withdraw marketing cookies. When you withdraw, we stop the pixel from running again and delete the _fbp and _fbc cookies and the two local storage values from your browser, wherever your browser lets us reach them. Withdrawing consent stops future tracking. It does not by itself retract or delete information that was already sent to Meta, and we cannot make that happen from our side — if you want to pursue it, contact us at hello@keploom.com and we will point you to Meta's own controls and help where we can.

Rejecting or withdrawing marketing cookies does not limit the Site. Every page, and every “Chat on WhatsApp” button, works exactly the same way. You can also block cookies or the pixel entirely through your browser settings or a content blocker, and adjust how your information is used for advertising in the ad preferences of your Facebook or Instagram account.

We do not use Google Analytics or session-recording tools on the Site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use enquiry information to respond to you, understand your requirements, arrange discussions, prepare proposals and provide requested services. We use email and AI-assisted tools to manage enquiries and prepare responses. The business owner reviews and approves outgoing enquiry emails before they are sent.

Contacting us about a project does not automatically subscribe you to promotional messages. You can ask us to stop enquiry follow-up in the conversation or by emailing hello@keploom.com. We do not sell, rent, or share the contents of your enquiry with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond, manage relevant follow-up and meet applicable legal obligations. If you accepted marketing cookies, the _fbp cookie lasts about 90 days on your device unless you clear it or withdraw consent; information already sent to Meta is retained by Meta under its own policies and retention periods, which we do not control.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect any information you share with us. Our email communications are processed through Google Workspace, which employs industry-standard security measures. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Meta — the Meta Pixel, which runs only after you accept marketing cookies (see Section 2)
• Meta — Facebook and Instagram, for advertising delivery and aggregate campaign reporting
• Meta — WhatsApp, which carries the enquiries you choose to send us on WhatsApp
• Google Workspace/Gmail — for email communications
• OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude — to assist with handling enquiry emails and preparing responses
• Vercel — which hosts keploom.com and serves these pages

These services process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. The information involved depends on the service and the task.

Our Site may also contain links to third-party websites, including our social media profiles on LinkedIn and Instagram. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

7. International Users

Keploom is based in the United Arab Emirates. The providers we use may process information in other countries, where data-protection laws can differ. Visiting our website does not by itself constitute consent to international transfers. You can contact hello@keploom.com for information about the providers involved in handling your enquiry.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to general enquiries and communicating with people who contact us on behalf of a business, taking account of their interests and rights. Where you personally ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, or we perform a contract with you, we rely on contractual necessity for the processing needed for those steps or that contract. We rely on your consent for the Meta Pixel and optional marketing cookies described in Section 2. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

• The right to access your personal data
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to delete your data
• The right to restrict processing or object to processing based on legitimate interests
• The right to receive a portable copy of your data where applicable
• The right to withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
• The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
